Dancing is going to be a very significant part of your wedding, and all eyes will be upon you! Plan to take several dance classes with your partner and impress all of the guests at the wedding. Learn to dance to slow and fast songs so that you can be as prepared and have fun when the moment arrives.
Include in your wedding elements of yourselves, your relationship, and your life’s events. Select a theme which reflects your relationship.
Make sure that you never plan your bachelor or bachelorette parties the day before the wedding. There may be a lot of drinking at these parties, and the last thing that you will want to do is ruin the day of your wedding because you are not fully functional. Have a calm day right before your wedding.
If the couple wants to get a shot of everyone at their wedding, try to get a shot from up high at the beginning of the ceremony when it’s likely no one will have left yet. If you’re fortunate enough to have a church with a balcony, start from there. Visit the church before the ceremony to choose the best spot to get your shot.
Whether or not to invite children to your wedding is a delicate choice to have to make. You don’t want to offend your guests by saying they must come childless, or forcing them to find a babysitter. At the same time, you don’t want kids tearing around your reception or disrupting the ceremony. If you want to have kids there, give them something else to do or another room to play in.
You should avoid smoking or drinking beer from the bottle while at your own wedding reception. It’s just gauche and tacky to be seen doing something so pedestrian, so try to live up to the classy theme of your wedding. After the reception you can go home, light up a stogie and get wasted, if you so desire.
Having a family member photograph your wedding can save you a lot of money, but you have to remember that you’ll get what you pay for. They probably won’t have expensive lighting rigs or the latest camera equipment, so your shots will end up looking less than professional. That said, they can still be beautiful, so don’t worry! Just don’t have high expectations that could make your family member feel guilty.
